It was established to handle all civil aviation training areas within its competence. Because OFNAC is a national institution of the Haitian State under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC), the Training Center is legitimately an academic authority for delivering courses aimed at training air traffic controllers and other Haitian civil aviation professionals.
Mission
Train, educate and qualify all recruited staff and all applicants to OFNAC through basic aeronautical training and specialized training.
PLAN training internships for internal and external staff;
GET APPROVAL for all training types, learning materials and instructors by DSACH;
FINALIZE the recruitment of future OFNAC applicants and officials through a theoretical evaluation of the basic civil aviation course or, where applicable, through an admission competition according to the OFNAC Recruitment Manual;
DELIVER all defined training internships and train staff for the benefit of the following entities:
Air Navigation;
Civil Aviation Safety Directorate (DSACH);
Air Transport Directorate (DTA);
Civil Aviation Security and Facilitation Directorate (DSAF);
Airlines;
Administrative and Financial Affairs Directorate (DAAF).
Training Management
Step 1: Approval of the training or internship program by the Quality and Safety Service.
Step 2: Validation of the training plan document by DSACH.
Step 3: Planning of training chronology by the Training Director together with the concerned directorate (ref. training plan document).
Step 4: Delivery of training by the Pedagogical Service.
Step 5: Evaluation and archiving of training-related files.
Step 6: Pre-stage, in-stage and post-stage preparation activities by TTS.
