The Directorate in charge of Civil Aviation Security and Facilitation ensures compliance with the National Civil Aviation Security Program (PNSAC), as well as security programs of service providers such as airports, airlines (passenger and cargo), and maintenance organizations. It also ensures implementation of Annex 9 provisions of the Chicago Convention related to Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), including customs, immigration, and animal and plant quarantine matters.
The Security Inspection Service is responsible for monitoring airports and all access points to airport sterile areas. It ensures operators comply with their security programs.
The Facilitation Service assesses and provides recommendations on the processing of people and goods at departure and arrival.
